Welcome to Music at The Wheatlands!!

We're so glad to see you!! This blog will post many different things this year including pictures of things we are doing in the classroom, kid projects for your listening and laughing pleasure, and a bunch of different updates through the year. 1st Grade Mallet Madness!

We have been having a blast in 1st grade music recently with the addition of some "Mallet Madness". The kids are learning about instruments and getting to play in a rotation style while learning about using their hands in alternating patterns and together. We've been also trying to play duets of rhythm with our mallets and our drums. The video below shows one of my best direction following classes trying out some mallet patterns and showing you a rotation! Hope you enjoy!
