Get excited about fourth grade sharing their sea shanties with you! Sea Shanties were work songs that they sang aboard ships in the 1800s to help them with work, pass the time, and express their feelings. The kids took a break from working hard learning about the songs to write their own version of a sea shantey to pass the time. Here is a preview of one class' group.
