Dominotes!!!

Before I show you a fun game we do in some of the grades, I want to say thank you to those parents who donated items to the music classroom via the teacherlist link in an earlier post!  Your donations are sooooo appreciated!!

...and now.... onto the craziness of the music room!

One fun game that we do to work on our rhythms is Dominotes, which is a variation of Dominoes where they are looking for the total number of beats on each "side" of the Dominote and trying to match them up.  One of the hardest things about the rhythms is remembering how many beats each symbol receives, so this is a fun way of doing that!  Check out some kids in Mrs. Cronin's class and their Dominote creations:

Carefully deciding where he is going to put his next Dominote!

A rather large Dominote game!

These boys were extra proud of their long Dominote "guy".
